Mittums booties have a long rib that folds over the bootie for extra warmth. You can knit the booties in one color or use two colors. The pattern is written to be knitted in loops, but you can also knit with double pointed needles, in which case divide the stitches from needle A onto needles 1 and 2 and the stitches from needle B onto needles 3 and 4. The booties have a curved thumb rise. The pattern uses an Italian cast-on, but you can create the stitches however you like. The pattern has 2 different options for the rib.
