Malabrigo
Malabrigo is a Uruguayan family business that has focused on the production of high-quality, hand-dyed yarns. The yarns are mainly merino wool, which is obtained from local producers. The yarns are made from the softest fibers available, inspired by nature, landscapes, places, art and everyday life. The wool is 100% produced on farms in Uruguay that let their sheep run free through the hills and are herded by real old-style shepherds. Uruguay does not have the controversial practice of mulesing. The skeins are dyed by hand in dizzyingly beautiful shades, using solar energy and non-toxic colors.
Malabrigo employs mostly women of all ages and always tries to offer job opportunities to people with less than average opportunities.
