Maja is a short, modern cardigan with traditional Icelandic patterns.
The cardigan is knitted from the bottom up. The sleeves are knitted separately and joined to the lower body at the yoke. The neckline is finished with a few shortened rows.
Finally, the cardigan is cut open, or stitched open. The button placket is knitted last.
The knitted coat is designed by Hélène Magnússon, an Icelandic/French designer and author who organizes popular hiking and knitting trips in Iceland.
