Favorite sweater knitting pattern

My favorite sweater is a wonderfully light and oversized knit that you can comfortably throw on in the cold winter months or on cool summer evenings.

The sweater is knitted from the top down, which makes it easy to adjust the length – you can make it shorter or longer if you want. Remember to take this into account when calculating your yarn consumption.

The model is waist-high and has a nice loose fit thanks to the generous sizing. Choose the size according to how much room you want.

The pattern is knitted in size L/XL, and there is approximately 30 cm of slack.

The sample shirt is made in three different shades: Silver Mist, Miami Vibes and Sirens Song, but you can also knit it in a single color.

Color changes can be done directly or in a fade style, by knitting a few rows of different colors in a free order.

Bust: 108 cm (130 cm)

Length measured from shoulder down:

55 cm (60 cm) or desired length.

Sleeve length from armpit:

40 cm (42 cm) or desired length.

Yarn:

WoolWomen Fluff Mohair (78% mohair, 13% merino, 9% nylon, 200 m / 100 g)

3 skeins for both sizes. If you want a longer one for size L/XL, reserve 4 skeins.

Knitting density:

11 sts = 10 cm on needles size 9

Needle recommendation:

8mm and 9mm 80cm circular needle.

8mm and 9mm 40 cm circular needle

The sample shirt is made entirely with circular needles, but if you prefer, you can also knit the sleeves with double pointed needles.
