Somany scarf pattern

The Salmiakin Somany scarf is knitted with Light fingering weight yarn together with Lace weight yarn, increasing in layers on each side until the desired width is reached, and then decreasing on each side to the tip. The neat I-cord edge is knitted at the same time, so finishing is minimal. The pattern includes 4 different patterns

Version 1: Wide stripes Knitting for Olive Merino (100% Merino, 250 m / 50 g) and Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (70% mohair, 30% silk, 225 m / 25 g), one skein of both Merino and Soft Silk Mohair in the main color and a contrasting color. The model scarf is knitted in the colors Licorice and Oatmeal of Merino and the colors Licorice and Oat of Soft Silk Mohair. Density: 18 sts x 24 rows in stocking stitch after stretching Size: Width approx. 30 cm at the widest point, length approx. 156 cm.

Version 2 : Wide and narrow stripes Knitting for Olive Merino (100% Merino, 250 m / 50 g) in two colors and Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (70% mohair, 30% silk, 225 m / 25 g), one skein each of Merino and Soft Silk Mohair in the main color and a contrasting color. The model scarf is knitted in the colors Licorice and Oatmeal of Merino and the colors Licorice and Oat of Soft Silk Mohair. Density: 18 sts x 24 rows in stocking stitch after stretching Size: Width approx. 35 cm at the widest point, length approx. 146 cm.

Version 3 : Narrow stripes Knitting for Olive Pure Silk (100% silk 250 m / 50 g) and Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (70% mohair, 30% silk, 225 m / 25 g), one skein each of Merino and Soft Silk Mohair in the main color and a contrasting color. The sample scarf is knitted in Pure Silk colors Coal and Cream and Soft Silk Mohair in Licorice and Cream. Density: 16 sts x 22 rows stockinette stitch after stretching Size: Width approx. 39 cm at the widest point, length approx. 194 cm.

Version 4 : Solid color 2 skeins Knitting for Olive Pure Silk (100% silk, 250 m / 50 g). The scarf is knitted with double yarn. The model scarf is knitted in Rhubarb Juice. Density: 18 sts x 24 rows in stocking stitch after stretching Size: Width approx. 27 cm at the widest point, length approx. 152 cm.

Needles & supplies 4.5 mm circular needle (80 cm or longer) or an extra circular needle depending on the density, 2 stitch markers, a locking needle, tensioning tools
