The Sonja Sweater is knitted from top to bottom in stockinette stitch. First, the upper part of the back piece is knitted flat. Then each shoulder is knitted separately from the stitches picked up from the back piece. The shoulders are shaped with shortened rows. The front and back pieces are joined at the armpits, and the body is knitted in the round with circular needles. The stitches are picked up from the armholes for the sleeves, which are knitted in the round. Finally, the stitches are picked up from the neckline, the rib of which is folded and fastened by knitting to the wrong side. No separate finishing is needed.

Size selection guide
The shirt has about 30 cm of slack in the smaller sizes and gradually less in the larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a chest circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished shirt are given on the front page of the pattern. Please note that the measurements will only match if you follow the given knitting density. Measure yourself before starting the work to ensure you choose the right size. Example: if your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The chest circumference of a size S shirt is 120 cm, so in this case there would be 30 cm of room to spare.
