PetiteKnit - Novice Sweater knitting pattern

The Novice Sweater is knitted in the round from top to bottom. This means that you start by knitting the collar, then the yoke, then the body and finally the sleeves. The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch. The collar, cuffs and bottom of the hem are knitted in rib. The Novice Sweater has a round yoke, which is shaped by knitting four evenly spaced increases.

Size guide and measurements
You will get the right size sweater when your knitting density matches the one given in the pattern. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to correspond to a chest circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120- 130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. A 5-10 cm allowance has been calculated for the Novice Sweater. This means that if your measured chest circumference is 90 cm (measure yourself with a tape measure), you should knit size S, which has a chest circumference of 98 cm in the pattern.

Needles: 5.5 mm and 6 mm (40 and 80 or 100 cm) circular needles, 5.5 mm double pointed needles for sleeves if desired.
