Care instructions:
Wool products do not need to be washed much, but the best care instructions for them are to air them. If the knitwear needs to be washed due to staining, use lukewarm water and wool detergent for hand washing. Do not rub. You can wrap the knitwear in a towel, for example. and squeeze out the excess water. It is recommended to dry the knitwear flat.
Plötulopi is an Icelandic single-ply wool yarn, and it is used to make traditional authentic Lopi sweaters. The yarn is fragile when knitted, but if the yarn breaks, it is easy to join the ends. The yarn runs comfortably on the needles. Thanks to its long fibers, a sweater or other wool garment knitted from it is warm, very light and durable. You can knit Plötulopi in two or even three layers. In single layers, the yarn corresponds to Lettlopi and in double layers, to Alafosslopi, but remember to check the knitting density. The yarn is also excellent for felting and hand spinning.
Floss yarn is sold in spools. Each spool weighs approximately 100 grams and contains approximately 300 meters of yarn.
