PetiteKnit Terrazzo Neck Junior knitting pattern

This knitting pattern is in Finnish.

Terrazzo Neck Junior is started from the back piece, worked up and over the shoulders and down the front piece. An opening is formed at the neckline, and the stitches picked up from the edge of the opening are used to knit a polo collar. The back piece of the neck piece is square and the front piece is trapezoidal.

The instructions use Italian initiation and Italian conclusion.

Start by knitting a swatch to help you estimate the needle size you will need to achieve the correct gauge. Wet and stretch the swatch before calculating the gauge.

Knitting density: 17 sts x 24 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm stocking stitch on 4.5 mm needles after wetting and tightening

20–22 sts x 24 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm twisted rib (k1 twisted, p1 twisted) on 4.5 mm needles after wetting and tightening (knitting density for a polo collar)

Needles: Circular needles: 4.5 mm / 40 and 60 or 80 cm
