Lana Grossa's Cool Wool Vintage yarn is a 100% mulesing-free merino wool yarn that is wonderfully gentle on the skin and is therefore also suitable for those with sensitive skin. The hand-dyed, beautifully nuanced shades bring depth and a unique look to knits. Whether you have a warm sweater, a cute accessory or some special knit, the luxuriously soft Cool Wool Vintage is suitable from baby to grandpa. The yarn is also great for combining with thin mohair yarn.

In addition, Cool Wool Vintage is a practical choice – knitwear made from it can be washed in the machine, which makes it also excellent for baby and children's knitwear.

Lana Grossa is committed to high quality and responsibility, carefully manufacturing all of its yarns in Italy.

According to the manufacturer, 8 balls, or 400 grams, are enough for a women's size M sweater.

Note:

The special look of Cool Wool Vintage yarn is created by a hand-dyed process, which results in a refined vintage effect. The dyeing method brings depth and vibrancy to the colors, which is difficult to achieve with machine dyeing. The 500 g skeins are hand-dyed in vats and wound into 50 g skeins. The dyeing method makes the yarn unique and each skein is individual, so there may be shade variations between skeins even in the same dyeing batch.

In order to achieve the most even color in single-color patterns, it is recommended to knit with two balls at the same time: Knit two layers with the first ball, then switch to the second, knit two layers and continue this rhythm. This way, in single-color work, you knit as if in stripes, and the subtle unevenness that might otherwise arise when a very light and a very dark ball meet, blends together beautifully.
