Mokosh – softness and warmth from the pastures of southern France

Mokosh is a sport-strength, two-ply yarn made from the wool of the rare Merino d'Arles sheep. This native breed from the South of France produces exceptionally fine and fluffy wool – just 21 microns thick – making Mokosh one of the softest European wool yarns. The curliness of the wool creates air pockets within the yarn, making garments knitted from it light, airy and warm at the same time.

The yarn is spun and dyed at a GOTS-certified mill in Turkey, where the entire process takes place under one roof, ensuring that Mokosh is a responsible choice for the environment, animals and people – while also reducing its carbon footprint.

Mokosh's surface is soft, light and has a subtle sheen. It is perfect for sweaters, scarves, hats and other accessories.
