The Istex yarn range has been joined by a new thin and lightweight option called Fjallalopi . This yarn is perfect when you want to knit lighter and thinner garments compared to Lettlopi or Alafosslopi. Fjallalopi is single-ply and thinner than Lettlopi, but offers the same high-quality outdoor properties in a lighter form. Its lightness also makes it suitable for innerwear.

The unique properties of Icelandic wool make Lopi yarns an excellent choice. The soft, insulating base wool and the durable, water-repellent outer wool combine to create a yarn that is perfect for outdoor clothing. Lopi yarns may feel a little rough against the skin at first, but they soften with use. Knits made from these yarns work great as mid-layers or outerwear, as their warmth, water-repellent properties and breathability make Icelandic knits ideal for variable weather, whether you're skiing, hiking or riding.

The color range of Fjallalopi yarn offers beautiful, natural tones that are perfect for traditional Icelandic yoke knits or more modern solid color knits. Also try the yarn for cardigans and accessories. In addition, Fjallalopi is well suited for felting, which opens up more possibilities for creative crafts.

When you order Fjallalopi, you will receive the Children's Riddari instructions in Finnish at the store. The instructions are in PDF format and will be sent to your email.
