Mittums booties have a long rib that folds over the bootie for extra warmth. You can knit the booties in one color or use two colors. The pattern is written to be knitted in loops, but you can also knit with double pointed needles, in which case divide the stitches from needle A onto needles 1 and 2 and the stitches from needle B onto needles 3 and 4. The booties have a curved thumb rise. The pattern uses an Italian cast-on, but you can create the stitches however you like. The pattern includes two different options for rib 1x1 and 2x2
One skein of Cascade 220 yarn is enough for the mittens. You will receive the pattern for free when you purchase the yarn. The pattern is a PDF file, so remember to save it to your computer!
Sizes S/M (M/L), palm circumference 16.25 (18.75) cm 80 (100) g DK thick yarn in either one or two colors.
Needles and supplies 3.75 mm circular needle (80 cm or longer) or according to your hand or double pointed needles extra circular needle for starting stitch marker stitch holder or leftover yarn ending needle
Knitting density 24 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm stockinette stitch with thicker needles.
